I have found myself bothered by the reaction from some circles via the #UHC #CEO shooting. I totally understand the sentiment. As a line from an early 70s song said, if anyone needed dying he did. However, as poor of an excuse for a human being that he might be, he’s still just that, a human being. And I have always felt that me actually cheering someone else’s demise, no matter who, dehumanizes me. I remember feeling the same way when #Osama was killed. People celebrated like their team had just won the Super Bowl. I just couldn’t. And to me it felt like the celebrations were just plain wrong. I’m seeing the guy who gunned him down being lionized as a hero, a present-day Robin Hood, and other things. I just can’t go along with that. For one thing, suppose someone else wound up taking the bullet? Also, there’s this little pesky idea that killing another person, except in self-defense, is just plain wrong. I just can’t move from that belief. #JuryNullification should not apply here.
@Thumper1964 I hear you. I was a bit happy when Ben Laden went down, not because he was dead but because it was the end of that chapter. That said, I also dont' feel it's right to cheer the killing of anyone.

@Thumper1964 THank you.

I saw a post basically saying that they couldn't cry over someone who proffitted from huuman missery, and that the inherritance (Vast inherritance, even) should mop up their tears.

It said other things, but I'm just like...seriously? That's just messed up.
