A rafter of turkeys (I had to look that up) is crossing our long snow-covered driveway.

Turkey Day 2.0. They started out foraging under the neighbours apple tree, obviously enjoying the fallen fruit left there. Now, they are on their way to our front to continue tearing up garden beds and lawn. All good, live, and let live.
There were 8 yesterday but only 7 today. Maybe one forgot to set an alarm and missed the scheduled yard tour.

They're baaaack.....
Our neighbourly #Turkeys, 6 visitors today, seem to be getting braver, and were right under a picture window at the front of the house. I might need larger bird feeders.....

Once again, the turkeys have graced us with their presence - today, we have a male and 7 females. The male has been strutting around with all his feathers puffed out and making quite a bit of noise. I tried to get a video, but I must have spooked them, or he got performance anxiety, and they moved into our front yard out of sight.

The rafter of 8 turkeys has returned to our front yard to scuff up our fresh snowfall. Every few years, we have a group that hangs around for the entire winter, and I suspect this pack will be regular visitors. It's-10.5°C today, but they don't seem to care.

It's been 3 weeks, but our large bird buddies are back. Total of 7 today, these 4 on our driveway and 3 more down the hill on our front lawn.

@paulbusch there’s some good eating to be had there
@Alexandros2112
It's a buffet. That apple tree is in my neighbour's yard, right beside my driveway. From there, they go into our front yard to eat some tender grass where I overseeded in the fall. Next, they wander to a farmers field behind us to forage through his manure pile. Yum....
@paulbusch because that is how many turkeys it takes to 'man' a raft??
