That side goes "La la la, your a gommie shithole with no bebes" while China is blazing through high-speed rail construction like it's nothing and we're rotting with Amtrak and whatever the fuck. ​​

@parismarx A great deal of the bridgebuilding, heavy (concrete-and-rebar) construction, and grading is finished on the first segment of the California high speed rail. (I drive past it every few months and have walked on parts of the right of way.) It's getting near to the point where power, tracks, and signals can be installed.

Hyperloop was (and remains) one of the most obviously stupid of ideas. I have not heard the fate of the fan-boy hyperloop companies that sprung up for a while - I presume that they crashed and burned like a full self driving Tesla.

@parismarx The goal of these fools is to literally not fund or support anything that helps people - food, transportation, healthcare, etc. We are literally a few years away that every single person will be growing their own food and performing their own surgeries.
