AlJazeera: IDF deployed Quadcopters in Gaza that emit sounds of babies & of screaming women to lure Palestinians out of their homes & shoot them.

CNN: Since the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire started IDF has broken ceasefire 100 times

Imagine still claiming this is "self-defense" and not intentional genocide

@QasimRashid War on Gaza: Israeli drones lure Palestinians with crying children recordings then shoot them (from April) https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/disturbing-recordings-crying-infants-played-israeli-quadcopters-lure-gaza-residents-shooting
Israeli drones lure Palestinians with crying children recordings then shoot them

Locals report Israeli quadcopters drawing people out of their houses by playing sounds of women and children in distress

Middle East Eye

@sambowne @QasimRashid @hacks4pancakes Yes, a story being spread by a news outlet that has a history of not being too serious about sticking to the truth. And still spreading rumors, even though there was more than enough time since April to find recordings of such drones if they ever actually existed.

There is more than enough real suffering in this war without resorting to fake news.

"Quadcopters were emitting baby sounds, playing sounds of screaming women." Palestinians in Gaza say Israel has been using small quadcopter drones, equipped with loudspeakers, to lure them out of their homes and then shoot them. #GazaCrimes

Al Jazeera has a LONG history of at best anti-Israel bias and at worst antisemitism.
From pieces claiming Jews were warned before 9/11 & celebrating terrorists (https://web.archive.org/web/20120120215822/http://ajr.org/Article.asp?id=5077) to censoring criticism of Hamas (https://www.jpost.com/middle-east/article-806444, https://www.jpost.com/middle-east/article-773289) & making false claims about the IDF's conduct (https://archive.is/ErCZq) & even Holocaust denial (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-48335169) Al Jazeera isn't reliable on Israel & Jews.

"On February 14, he appeared on Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor" to challenge conservative host Bill O'Reilly's lambasting of Al Jazeera. "They certainly aren't anti-Semitic, but they are anti-Netanyahu and anti-Lieberman and anti-Israeli, right," Marash said. "Even in Israel, the opinion is that Al Jazeera gives them a fairly decent journalistic shake.""
That's from a source you linked to.
@FishNamedDog @WPalant @sambowne @QasimRashid @hacks4pancakes To dismiss a claim just because it's from a specific source even without looking for the evidence and their sources is just 🤡🤡🤡
@farshidhakimy @WPalant @sambowne @QasimRashid @hacks4pancakes
yes, they were discussing both sides of it. The Al Jazeera reporter considered Al Jazeera fine, a position seemingly contradicted by evidence.
@farshidhakimy @sambowne @QasimRashid @hacks4pancakes They aren’t the only ones covering it but they are the only source being cited everywhere. And they have no proof beyond rumors. I’ve looked into it back in April already.
@WPalant @sambowne @QasimRashid @hacks4pancakes in the video I linked, they're interviewing a person from "Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor" that claims to have interviewed several people from which all if them claim the same thing.

@farshidhakimy @sambowne @QasimRashid @hacks4pancakes Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor appears to be a Hamas front: https://ngo-monitor.org/ngos/euro-med-human-rights-monitor/

Quite frankly, that’s also how their publications sound.

@WPalant @sambowne @QasimRashid @hacks4pancakes
The Israeli government also made false claims about the UNRWA and hamas, I don't think one can trust them as a source
https://www.unrwa.org/unrwa-claims-versus-facts-february-2024

@farshidhakimy Yes, there is an information war out there, and I certainly don’t want to get into the Israel vs. UNRWA topic. Luckily, it doesn’t matter whether Euro-Med HR Monitor are really affiliated with the Hamas – it’s merely plausible that they are, given their reporting and the lack of transparency about funding. Regardless, it clearly is a deeply biased and antisemitic organization which is spreading conspiracy theories. I took only a brief look and already noticed that they don’t care about supporting their claims with facts. NGO Monitor links their sources and you can easily verify them.

This is a horrible conflict, and there is much blame waiting to be assigned – both for the current events and their historical background. It’s telling however when someone is very eager to assign all of it on one side.

@WPalant I am not sure what would be a "fact" for you.
But what I can tell you with certainty is that in the video I shared they do show two audio recordings and one video recording that support their claim.
If this claim wouldn't be true, that would mean that the person they're interviewing as well as all people that appear and have taken the recordings, as well as the palestinian people that have been interviewed are all lying and faking recordings.
I don't think that this is the case.
@WPalant @farshidhakimy @sambowne @QasimRashid @hacks4pancakes
Saying the story is fake and just propaganda is one thing. Producing as proof information supported only by a list written directly by the opposing propaganda machine does not make you sound all that credible. I know it is hard to find reliable sources on this topic but if you expect anyone to believe the Israeli government on the topic of who is telling the truth you might be in for a hard time

@WPalant @sambowne @QasimRashid @hacks4pancakes Article is from same time period so this is a rumor bump.

Snopes has good info on it: https://www.snopes.com/news/2024/04/26/drones-crying-infants-gaza/

I wouldn't put it past them but yeah, this smells like bullshit.
