At what point does it become untenable for the CEOs who have congratulated Trump and otherwise engaged with him respectfully to continue treating him like a normal president? What line would he have to cross? https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/11/30/kash-patel-fbi-director-nominee-trump/
Who is Kash Patel, Trump’s new FBI director?

Patel, President Donald Trump’s choice to run the nation’s premier law enforcement agency, is the author of a list of “deep state” officials to target.

@harrymccracken never. As long as he’s helping them make money for the shareholders, they simply don’t care what he does.

Until he turns on them. Which he most certainly will. By then it probably won’t matter.

Real bad idea to look to CEOs for moral leadership and resistance.

@jeffzugale I was thinking not only about ethical issues, but the possibility their behavior might lead customers to avoid giving them money.

@harrymccracken @jeffzugale

It's all about shareholder value.

As long as the shareholders dont care, the C-level won't either.

@simonzerafa @jeffzugale Shareholders may care if people start perceiving these companies as enemies and avoiding doing business with them.

@harrymccracken @simonzerafa I think the only issue with that is that most all of them have already bent the knee in some way. If you want to protest a company because the CEO isn't outwardly fighting MAGA you are going to have a really limited set of options to take your business too.

I certainly hope I'm wrong.
