Hearing from trusted sources that a bill has been submitted to abolish the Department of Education altogether. I'll share more as I have more, but this is verbatim Project 2025. It is an attempt to infuse Christian nationalism into the United States. We have work to do y'all. Stay tuned for updates.

@QasimRashid Wait... so are we just pretending that education in the US isn't woefully in need of reform? That the DOE is functioning in a way that addresses evolving education needs?

And -- I'm genuinely asking here, mind you -- how did you make the leap from dissolving FDOE to an insidious plan of instituting Christian national ideology? Bc if that was truly the goal, obviously it'd be easier to do by keeping strong, unilateral oversight and implementing sweeping ideological reforms from the top down... soooo???

@deweyritten Are you unfamiliar with Project 2025? Because only someone who has no idea what that is would be asking this question. @QasimRashid

@SallyStrange if its so obvious then explain, Sally.

@QasimRashid

@deweyritten @QasimRashid reform does not mean abolish…

@dennis_moser @QasimRashid

You know every state has its own DOE right? Or did you really believe when Qasim said abolish DOE, that this bill's proposing.... lol actually idek what even is your point?

@deweyritten @QasimRashid Are you a P2025 denier? He TOLD you where it came from.
@QasimRashid They keep trying to make the whole country run like the South, without seeming to notice that the South ranks lowest in education, health, wealth, and just about every other good thing.
@QasimRashid I have mixed feelings about this. I am against anything the MAGA crowd wants, but I have to wonder just how much good the Dept. of Education has done over the years as the country was ignorant enough to vote in favor of putting Trump in office again.
@QasimRashid musk and andreessen have also (unsurprisingly) singled out the CFPB for elimination
