I still have a visceral sense memory of lifting that heavy-ass monitor precisely back into its slot in the case.

(Probably the only exercise I got in those days.)

My first experience (circa 1987) was with this beast from the 80s : one floppy for the OS, one floppy for the programs (which we exchanged with friends through regular snail mail), a post-card sized screen, and lots of fun! #nostalgia #retrocomputing
