The peace deal that was scuttled by UK/US in March 2022 did include referendums to let regions join Russia or Ukraine. I donāt think the ādemocracy loversā would support these any more, but it would be a genuine formula for peace, and one where Ukraine would reform its government, and could successfully hold territory if western economic help were given. The delusion with that plan is that Ukraine is only loved for its commitment to suicidal war instigation.

Complete total fabrication. Russia has never been interested in ruling Ukraine. The siege towards Kiev was intimidation. Liberating the Russian parts is a necessary response to Ukraineās nazification. But very simple/reasonable red lines were always the offramp to peace.
