#Upcoming Another day, another #Muslimgauze reissue. Originally released in 1994, “Al-Zulfiquar Shaheed” is great if you love the mellow, hypnotic side of this project. Some incidental sounds were recorded at the Abraham Mosque in Manchester. Available via #KontaktAudio, January 10th. https://kontaktaudio.bandcamp.com/album/al-zulfiquar-shaheed

@soundclamp that’s one of my favorites of his
@c_reider I think my favorite is a toss up between “Gulf Between Us” (the extended version via Soleilmoon) and “Iranian Female Olympic Table Tennis Team Theme”.

@soundclamp oooh, yeah, Iranian Female Olympic Table Tennis Theme is so good.

my favorites are numerous. my top fave is either Azzazin, or Remixs (the first one), those two probably tied at the top.
others:

Citadel
Vote Hezbollah
Veiled Sisters
Jaal-ab-Dullah
Lo-Fi India Abuse
Farouk Engineer
Jebel Tariq
Muslimgauze vs Species of Fishes
Syrinjia

@c_reider I know! “Azzazin” is a classic. So is “Lo-Fi India Abuse”. Now that I think about it, so is “Sufiq”, “Silknoose”, and “Baghdad” are also great. I could probably go on and on haha.
@soundclamp yeah, there's so many that are really great aside from my absolute tops.
i was deep in muslimgauze zone for many years, he still dominates the top of my last.fm most listened-to artists even though i haven't listened to him very frequently since.
@c_reider I know what you mean. I’ve been sucked back in lately with the latest wave of reissues haha.
@soundclamp i dumped too much money on muslimgauze, unlikely i'd spend more now, especially since he's dead and money goes to staalplaat and Bryn's family who were so clueless about his work that they dumped a bunch of stuff in the trash before Charles Soleilmoon stopped them (as i recall)
@soundclamp oh yeah, i forgot Sufiq! another fave, equal to Jebel Tariq and similar in style.
@c_reider I feel like I have this album somewhere in a box in the garage. I should check someday haha.
