TracketPacer πfinally made my decision about leaving twitter/X. really sad. i think i was holding on because itβs the place that really jump started my career & i made a ton of friends & connections there. i will miss 2021 twitter a lot. but i like it here, & probably on bluesky too.

doragasu@tracketpacer I suppose that's the difficult but correct decision. I quit Twitter at the end of 2022, and sometimes I miss some people that didn't come here, but if I could go back in time I would make the same choice, so π€·ββοΈ

b3lt3r@tracketpacer I deactivated yesterday, felt good tbh. I'm on here and BS. Prefer here tbh but there are too many people I do want to follow over there so ... Hopefully when BS enshittifies, Mastodon will have made the whole setup simpler for people who are used to a unified experience
jo3rg@tracketpacer I miss it too and i hate how it fragments the networks into so many pieces. I wish there would be a nice bridge/interconnection at least between bsky and mastodon. currently trying to fill that gap using the Openvibe client which feels quite nice so far

Nightyear@tracketpacer as an old, recovering netadmin it is a recurring joy to watch you discover and teach the next generation and to hear you kvetch about the same things our industry apparently has to relearn every few tech cycles.
I am sorry so many of my netadmin fellows are pig headed jerks and unnecessarily add frustration to what is already a taxing effort, but I am glad you're here.
