@ashten Also yes stop sexualising this game is what I read on that post I sent... uh so Ashten remember the silly but kinda sexual references I showed u in this game? yeah no uh even if that were an excuse it really isnt. If they think pride is sexual it doesnt change the fact that the game already has other sexual references in it and thus would be fine and no different
@ashten also if u dont like it... well dont use the pride flag item to build with. its ur choice to use it or not. Some blocks I dont like building with either, but adding more is never a bad thing. Its a sandbox game. its up to u
Also for those a little lost we are talking about Terraria. The post I sent Ashten is this
Also another note: the mods of that subreddit are pretty cool and said something like for each *phobic comment on the subreddit they see they extend the time that the subreddit has a rainbow icon by a day or so. It started on pride month and people complained. The logo will forever be rainbows at this rate
@ChaosKitsune@ashten I remember reading about the item and hearing that the resemblance is a happy coincidence, they used blue and pink to represent male and female and that happened to coincide with how the trans flag was made
@jennzycos@ashten shaun released a video in part about this sentiment just a couple days ago. it goes into why its not enough for reactionaries to have their "non-woke" representation, but instead require the total absence of diversity and why once such diversity is present, to them even what should represent the kinds of charscters they want suddenly is tainted and bad. the presence of the "other" inherently forces them to make the choice to be represented a certain way. having to make the choice means their identity and status is not an unspoken default assumption. and it not being a default assumption makes them feel insecure, like they are being attacked, invalidated. they arent used to not being the main - and only - target audience and are screaming as loud as they can about this real, but entirely morally correct loss of their privilege.
this is why their inability to relate justifies being against the existence to them.
(i couldve replied this to ashten directly, but i felt your reply made a nicer jumping-off point; sorry for rambling and have a great day)
@toatrika@ashten@jennzycos how do those who complete fantasise over you and just find your presence o so interesting that it kinda comes off like they forgot your a person .. fit into this
