Stand-up comedians often talk about how they developed humor as a defense mechanism because they weren't athletic or good-looking or whatever else.

Whereas Elon Musk is the opposite, in that he had to become a billionaire fascist to make up for being congenitally unfunny.

@Neat_hot I often think if he was funny on SNL how many of our problems would be avoided
@dannotdaniel It's like a mad anti-scientist: "No one laughed at me‽ I'll show them. I'll show them ALL!"

@Neat_hot exactly

space karen is just real-life SYNDROME from the INCREDIBLES

@dannotdaniel @Neat_hot Or Hugo Drax from Moonraker - an insane billionaire with his own private space program. Drax plots to eradicate humanity and then repopulate the Earth with a master-race crew from his space station.
@dannotdaniel @Neat_hot The Simpsons made many spooky predictions, but Bond is not far behind. Rewatched Goldeneye the other day - a mere four years after the fall of the USSR yet saw the way the wind was blowing, especially with the main enabler of the newly minted crooks and colonels turned oligarchs being geeky hacker Boris Grishenko.
@freequaybuoy I have not seen this movie, but that is so on point that I’m surprised no one has brought it up before.
@Neat_hot @dannotdaniel I think that about him and the other guy. They really don’t like being made fun of
@farah Keep on mocking in the free world
@Neat_hot
and he’s still unfunny and ugly🤮
@oceanannie Probably bad at sports too, I would guess.
