Christmas and Hanukkah start one month from today.

And yes, Christmas *starts* December 25, and goes until January 6. Hence the 12 days of Christmas.

@rantingsteve I was not accustomed to this until I moved to New England. It is very apparent here because Jan 6th is the day Christmas trees start appearing at the curb for pick up.

That's why Christmas Eve is a thing. Christmas "proper" starts at sundown on the 24th and ends at sundown on the 25th.
