There was a point where people started equating the #WWW with the #Internet. It was inaccurate, but it made sense for those people because that was what they used the Internet for. Now I'm seeing people equate social media with the Internet, which is even more inaccurate, but it's an understandable perspective for those people too. Will we reach a point where mistrust in social media will lead to questioning the usefulness of the Internet at large? Wait and find out, I guess.
