What are your favorite video game soundtracks?

@nixCraft Where do I even start!

If I were to pick individual games, I'd say Alexander Brandon's soundtracks to Deus Ex and Unreal Tournament are all good. The dX's main title track (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rm9PJNF3sE0) is still giving me chills.

When I forward to modern gaming, I find that I don't remember many pieces that affected me at the same level though, but there are still a few.

ME3's Leaving Earth (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGHA9oO1Ybg) is incredible. It's a chef's kiss to the cinematic, it's exactly what mass effect series is about. It's a culmination of the Shepard's failure to stop the invasion in the first two games and it's the best ever tune I remember to roll the credits (or, in this case, the series title) to. Clint Mansell wasn't involved in many video game soundtrack but this one is just so much him. The same vibes as from his iconic Requiem for a Dream track!

Maybe... I'm a sucker for orchestral strings?.. No... Can't be...

...I suppose, I am! Because the next one I wanted to mention is CP2077's Been Good to Know Ya (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ihdo3vPFK9Y). It's a brilliant track on its own and it's even better in the setting it's presented. The simmering melody of the cyberpunk void, the moment when the distorted cellos hit, it's so good!

But, of course, it's not only hard scifi and cyberpunk-themed dystopian future. I'll mention one more track that is, again, perfect on its own, and it's bizarre how good it is in the context of the video game. This game, it really has an overall great score. Borislav Slavov is a legend and all the score awards for this game are fully deserved. One piece though, one piece is just above others. It has numerous covers on youtube, endless reaction videos, studies, comments. Because it's that good.

Lives, all mortal lives expire. Souls go to their dooms in flames, forevermore!

The best antagonist song that he sings personally while shredding you in the most epic boss fight possible (sorry Doom. I know you're metal. You're good. Very good. But when it comes to fighting in Hell, this one one-ups you), the Raphael's Final Act of Baldur's Gate 3 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMo7ugWudCA).
