Calling her "victimised by the patriarchy" is putting it very mildly. I don't even want to contemplate the twisted upbringing that girl's already had, never mind what's in store for her over the next however-many-years-it-takes-before-she-gets-out (hoping devoutly that she does).

He could ask his cousin, Mara Wilson... but she's gone no contact with him. Can't imagine why.
It's like there's ALL KINDS of adults Ben could ask and get a series of thoughtful, nuanced responses... if he wanted.
