It’s Transgender Day of Remembrance. So remember:

- We have always existed.
- We don’t owe you our stories.
- The value of our lives is not determined by how well we align with “cis” norms.
- We demand bodily autonomy and the right to gender self-determination.
- We deserve equal access to healthcare.
- We are not a wedge issue.

If non-trans people remembered these things then perhaps we would have fewer trans people to remember and more to remember with.

@cthompto the most important thing to remember about transgender people is that they are PEOPLE. We should treat them with the same values and morals that all other people are treated with, regardless of the things that separate people, they are all essentially the same.

@cthompto IMNSH opinion, there are *way* too many people who are all caught up in what other people do with their pee pees.

I’ve got a crazy idea. how about just leaving their noses out of other folks business?
