When half-life 2 came out we didn't have internet at home

My dad drove me and my computer to a different city so that I could use the internet of someone that he worked with to download it

That feels like it was a different world now

@retrosponge @Lachlan I don't know if they had other things using steam before that but half-life 2 definitely required steam

@Wearwolf @Lachlan That was what it launched with. Then I think they added the Orange Box titles.

I might be wrong, but I think the first game that was released from a third party on there with the Steam Works stuff, was Audiosurf.

@retrosponge @Lachlan Audiosurf feels like it was a lot later but maybe I just came to it late

It would have been another two or three years after half-life 2 came out that we got internet so I don't have a lot of knowledge about early steam
