@playlist3977 @tinker Bluesky is not a company. Or exactly the same for Mastodon via Mastodon gGMBH. Bluesky is equivalent to mastodon.social and nothing else.
Bluesky is also federated, and with way more federation feature than the Fediverse have (federated moderation, real federated content move, federated UI/UX, federated data hose, federated label service…)
@playlist3977 @tinker Bluesky had ALREADY split a massive millions users instances in multiple instances in one night with no lost even in content. Something just totally impossible on the Fediverse.

Management is still centralized.

The algorithm is still centralized.

The ads will be centralized.

They've decentralized costs and centralized profits.

It's a capitalists dream! Have other people pay for your upkeep while you bring in all the money.

But no. Its not decentralized in the way the Fediverse is at all.
