Yesterday, I did my own oil change. $77.69 for 6 quarts (5+1) of the manufacturer recommended brand and an oil filter.

I checked my receipt for the last oil change I had done at the dealership: $55.58.

Hmmm. That wasn't cost effective. And didn't include the ramps and oil filter wrench I bought because adult children "borrowed" mine since the last time I used them.
