Should Democrats Throw Trans People Under the Bus?

Here’s Why It Would Be Bad Politics

Switch Hitter

@juliaserano

The Democratic Party only exists in order to throw people under the bus. Their entire existence is based on the need of wealthy donors to make sure that vaguely left-leaning opinion in the US never amounts to anything. So them doing it is bad politics for us, but good politics for them.

@juliaserano

fuck any Dem who doesn't support trans people.

Trans people are just people.

@juliaserano Democrats campaigned on hope, Republicans on fear.
People can relate to fear easier than hope.

@juliaserano I assure you that as a lifelong white cishet male Democrat, I publicly condemn any Democrat who blames the election loss on trans people. We know why we lost the election:

Because Donald Trump has been lying to rural white people, Latinos and Asians for years, and convinced enough of them to overlook the facts about his nefarious conduct and vote for him.

@AlgoCompSynth @juliaserano "lying to rural white people, Latinos and Asians for years, and convinced enough of them to overlook the facts about his nefarious conduct"

Couldn't disagree more, they knew what they were getting into and wanted it.

@juliaserano let's see, that should be rephrased as gop successfully finding and seizing on the most misunderstood and hence despised minority of all and making like they were a Very Big Problem for simply trying to live their best lives...
@juliaserano This should be a one second read: "Fuck no."
