Nobody has a child going to school as one gender and returning as another.
Trans people are not attacking women (or anyone else) in bathrooms.
Nobody is going through the hell of transitioning, putting up with the shit people give them etc for 'fun'.
All trans people want to do is just get on with life, doing what they want to do which harms nobody else whatsoever so they don't have to spend an entire lifetime miserable.
The rhetoric to suggest otherwise is 100% bullshit.
@JoBlakely It's certainly a complex thing and I don't expect people to understand conceptually why someone might not cope with life in the assigned gender at birth because it's a very difficult thing to understand - like many things that have a huge non-physical aspect to them.
But to make out that there is some massive problem with forced gender transition, attacks in bathrooms and all that is just ridiculous.
The 'harm' to people is coming from this, not the fictional forced transition.

@DanadasGrau @JoBlakely I generally draw no distinction. Indeed the only reason I distinguish between trans and not trans is sadly because we still have these fake boundaries of needing to label anyone.
Whether a trans person is female or male or anything in between doesn’t really factor - and I’ve seen everyone share the same bathroom spaces without issue too.
I have yet to see or hear of any attacks by trans people in bathrooms on women, or men. Or at all.

Ma'am, you shouldn't be seeing anyone's genitals in a bathroom - it's a crime, irregardless of if they're trans or not.
@0xPortal Yeah, it's also absolutely ridiculous conceptually - I know the USA likes those half-doors, but even if we ignore that, I've never seen a women's toilet where they're all open to everyone else in there to see - can't imagine all women would want to show random strangers everything either...
...meanwhile in the 'mens' toilets, guess who piss right next to each other where you can see each other...

I don't know enough about the US setup specifically, but I do think generally, the 'left' side does not really understand why they keep getting defeated and they insist on not fighting fire with fire and making it trivial for the 'hard right' nonsense to get through.
There remain many questions for me on how anyone can actually believe or give credit to these insane theories when it is so obviously untrue, but that's another story entirely.

I have known quite a few trans women.
Some I got along with, some I didn't.
I've seen the bits of just one - the one I dated, fully consentually.
Even though that relationship was a catastrophic failure (for reasons completely unrelated to the fact she's trans), dear god I hope she got the rest of the care she was looking for before present moment. 😢
We weren't a match, but I hope she stays safe!
