🚏🚌 Great to see politicians paying attention to buses - the only public transport in a lot of areas of Melbourne and Victoria. The evidence from past upgrades is clear: better bus services will get more people on board. #MoreServicesPlease

@ptua my problem with buses is that sometimes they don't come and you don't know if they were early or late or never ran.
Being stranded because the last bus of the night never ran is quite a thing.

@jessta @ptua yup. At least with a train that didn’t come you can probably find out what’s going on and have proper shelter to wait in usually with other people around. For a bus that doesn’t come you’re likely alone potentially without shelter having no idea what’s going on.

@jessta @ptua This is also my biggest problem with buses. Luckily it's one of those problems that can be solved by just ... more buses, more of the time. Mass transit is one of those things that really gets more useful in a non-linear fashion as you throw money at it.
