Got my portable setup completed, over the summer, and did my first POTA. Wa a bit late in the evening, so didn’t get enough contacts, but still had a good time.
A cheap skateboard bag (about £7) and the original tubes the Slidewinder came in, please a cheap camera bag (about £11) for the X6100, battery, etc.
@mw1cgg 😁 Last years hospitalisation made me realise you can’t take it with you, so I treated myself: LUMIX G80 (cracking camera for the price), Xiegu X6100, Slidewinder, Seestar S50 over the course of a year though!
Must say, haven’t treated myself for a long time.
@M0KHR It is a brilliant piece of kit and well worth it for the occasional viewer. I also don’t have room for a full sized setup.
These are also great to take on holiday.
