I’m currently in the “angry” stage of grieving. And today I did my 1st small act of resistance.
I’m 99% sure my immediate family voted for TFG. We don’t discuss politics much, but I was raised Conservative, so.
On Wed, my dad texted a video he took of a deer, Thurs, my brother texted a cute cat meme. At first, I just didn’t respond. But today, I responded by texting them this article:

I’m not going to cut them off unless I first verify and confront them. But they think they can just have a normal relationship w/me and carry on as if this is politics as usual and nothing fundamentally changed? Nah. They know where I stand.

If they voted for TFG, they voted for this. They voted for a rapist traitor who dines with Nazis.

I’m not at that point yet b/c my family is not very informed or political. They are not part of the cult, so I think I can at least show them why this all sucks, and who is to blame. I should have been more proactive about it in 2016 and after Jan. 6, 2021, but alas.
