@jikodesu You don't stop being friends with someone because you have differences of opinion. Respecting their opinions when they are different is what makes you a truly great friend.
@CloudWilx @jikodesu Respectfully disagree. This isn’t choosing a paint color for the living room or even how high taxes should be. This is “should trans people *be allowed to exist*. Should women have control over their own bodies. Does this person believe in FACTS, TRUTH and the rule of law or LIES and misinformation. If someone actively votes against my right to live my life how I want to live it, they don’t deserve to be my friend.
@gedeonm @jikodesu I totally get it. And trust me, I am in disbelief how America thinks this low life is the answer to "make America great again". It's truly disturbing. But, while I may distance myself from my friend to a degree, I would not cut them off completely, especially if they were a life long friend. If they were a truly close friend all these years, they would have had these beliefs even when you were friends, yet there was still enough there But depends on the strength of the bond
