Imperatritsa Mariya was the lead ship of her class of battleships built for the Imperial Russian navy. Launched on 19 October 1913, she was completed on 10 June 1915. On 20 October 1916, two explosions caused her to sink and capsize killing 228 sailors, while at anchor in Sevastopol.
