Still salty about OprylandIs anyone else doing #WritingMonth in December? I tried to get everything together in time for November, but it just didn't work out.
Helen in Wales@singingflame For #WritingMonth I'm aiming for 10k words on the novel I'm working on. Could you set a small goal? It doesn't have to be 50K.
@Dewines (1/2) TBH, I haven't thought of this any farther than "maybe we could have a hashtag / Trackbear leaderboard so we could encourage each other?" That's my problem with doing a writing challenge during another month - I'll miss the community participation aspect. I think the best thing to do, if there's enough people interested to make this a thing, would be to let everyone set their own goals.
@Dewines (2/2) I've seen other challenges that have flexible goals and thought it was a good idea. Not everyone's going to have the time or energy to do 50K words in a month. Especially if that month is December!
@singingflame I will be carrying on writing in December, but it's not a good month for me because I tend to suffer from SAD and end up lethargic and unmotivated. But even a few words keeps the project moving, albeit slowly.
@Dewines Yeah, that's a problem for me, too. In my case, I think it's a combination of sad memories and the weather turning unpredictable. (Ice storms! Six inches of snow! Two tornado outbreaks in the past five years!) I'm hoping if I set a monthly word goal for myself, I might get something done.
