Where do downtown drivers who want bike lanes removed think the cyclists are going to go? We are all commuting to the same places as you - we will just be in front of you blocking your car lane instead! 🤦🏼‍♂️
@c_9 does Doug want critical mass rides again?
@c_9 The dog whistle message from Ford (tacitly backed up by non-enforcement by the police) will be that cyclists will be fair game, and it is their own damn fault if they are maimed or killed. #onpoli
@Jgmeadows @c_9 What is Ford's problem? All we want to do is ride bikes around the city where we live in the safest way possible.
@talexb @c_9 The mere thought of cars and trucks not being the kings of the road is anathema not Ford and his followers.
@c_9 Doug would never ride a bike, so he doesn't believe they exist, except for a few weirdos trying to make everything worse for everyone.
Like transit riders, or people who need the hospital, and school-age children, cyclists are a political straw man to our Premier.
@c_9
Traffic gridlock is caused by cars only.

@c_9 very excited to put my foot on the ground and slow count to three while everyone patiently waits behind me.

I am known to lose count when people honk, could take a while.

@c_9 maybe the "hope" is that fewer cyclist will chance it and the cars will run the streets. The few cyclists who persist will be navigating that mini lane between the lane of traffic and the lane of parked cars, ever fearful of getting "doored" by an inattentive driver getting out of their parked car.
@c_9 the bike lanes accommodate parking. Do the businesses want to lose the parking?
@monicarooney I guarantee the number of parking spaces will increase after this. It's so upsetting.
@c_9 we need malicious compliance and a lot of it
