@hanabeans funny/curious random tidbit: getting an iPod 6th Gen / Classic to initialize in hfsplus requires something in addition to the initialization SCSI commands. I think it is the partition table that needs to be set in the way it expects (not just mac, but with specific partitions?). I wrote notes somewhere, I should dig up these...
