Tomb inside St Michael & All Angels, Hawkshead. Apparently the tomb is of the parents of Edwin Sandys, from the village, who became Archbishop of York; it is dated 1578.

@tomnorthfilm Thank you Tom. I wasn't quite sure where to take this, but I think there was a good balance there. We were on a family walk; the footpath actually goes diagonally up that cliff, about 25 yards behind me! North Cornish coasts can be dramatic, as you can see.

@tomnorthfilm Thanks, yes, there's a pretty wide range there. I think it would have been hard to wet print, the diagonal scratch shows how much I had to rotate it to get the verticals nearly right!

The odd thing about this image is that I printed it to use as a #PostCardsFromAfar , and it was just... nothing! Clearly my printing needs some work!
@carusb Well you’ve got plenty of detail in the highlights and shadows, and loads of tonality in between, seems you ought to be able to coax a beautiful print out of this negative.
