I'm 21 articles into the FindMyPast free newspapers database weekend and I just found my distant relative John Owen Davies letting a farm called "Cwmil" in 1939. I immediately recognized the farm from my research on his mother's family (who I'm not related to). Her family owned Cwmil at LEAST as far back as 1742 when John's 3x great grandfather mentioned it in his will. This is why I don't believe in rabbit holes, because it's all relevant.
