This summer a state worked prisoners in the heat. Would God be pleased with a “godly” state taking a cup of cold water from a prisoner?

@pteranodo The different enclaves (instances or servers) are different communities. When you look at the "Live Feeds" it defaults to your enclave, but you can change it to look globally too. It makes it easier for people on the same server to see and interact with your posts and for you to find and interact with them.
The enclaves also have the ability at the leader level to block whole instances from being seen. This could be seen as a pro or a con depending on your point of view. I know our admin over here, has blocked pro nazi severs so that we can't be harrassed by them.
Your local enclave also determines things like the length cap on your posts. And flair like the blue checkmark by my name. (Not sure what else falls into this bucket.)
Also, this is a small thing, but when I tag you, I have to use your long handle: @pteranodo but when I tag someone local, like say our admin @ameredith I can use his short handle.
Deacon.Social started as group of people who were twitter users and enjoyed the theological conversations that were happening there. When twitter was taken over by Musk and the culture became really toxic, some of us came together in this enclave. The community has grown over the years with people who weren't part of that twitter community, but I don't know what the breakdown is.
