Is there a "privacy first" version of Strava? Like where I can share my activities with friends, but _not_ with a gamification company? (i.e. end-to-end encrypted etc).

But technically speaking, it is possible to share things privately (including outdoor activities).

(One could do that right now, although it would be painful: export GPX track, send via @signalapp or https://github.com/magic-wormhole/magic-wormhole or some other e2e-encrypted method, send photos the same way, etc ... but not exactly a UX anything like Strava ;) of course)

@wyene @signalapp Yes, for sure perverse incentives is a huge problem for "privacy" in general.
