Been rather unhappy with 1Password autofill lately, so dipping my toe into the new iOS/macOS Passwords app and it's good; however, it's missing a few crucial features imo:

• no custom fields
• no ability to generate passwords of custom length or incl/excl specific characters
• no favorites category
• no secure "items" functionality for credentials (not notes/passwords) like SSN, EIN, known traveler, bank account details, etc.
• no password history
@[email protected] @snazzyq I’ve moved myself and the family over the Apple Passwords. So much better than 1P, would never go back. Tip: use Apple Notes with Face ID to replace secure notes. Actually better than 1P as you can have formatting in your notes.
I miss all the features you stated, but I switched over a year ago and I’m glad I did. Passwords works really fast and sharing with kids and family using groups works well.
I’ve just made a shared group with just myself which functions as my favourites category
@snazzyq thank you for saving me some time investigating, I’ll wait.
Why I still don’t use it as my main Password Manager. Went to Proton Pass from 1Password and very happy.
It would be a godsend if the password databases could be interchangeable. Imagine the level of competition that would exist in the space!
