From April 28th, all non-Mac apps submitted to the App Store must be using Xcode 26 and the iOS 26 SDK. If you've been holding off, and not paying attention to the upcoming requirements, this might come as a shock 👀

For the "Don't worry, AI isn't coming for your jobs" crowd, my local pizza joint, in a tiny town, now has an agent answering phones and taking orders. That's a great starter job for a high school kid gone.
Latest version out with Apple TV support and refreshed widgets: If you’re a weather nerd you might like to try this app I built: Weather Ultra. Yes, it has an annual subscription but the cost is modest and just to cover back-end API costs, and there is a free 2-week full trial. iPhone, iPad, Apple TV now, Mac coming very soon (currently waiting on App Store review): https://apps.apple.com/nz/app/weather-ultra/id6760675117 and more info on https://us.nz/weatherultra.html (Thanks to @stroughtonsmith and others for Xcode inspiration!)

And the Apple TV app is now available.

The Apple Frames CLI is *incredibly* fast. Here's a video (not sped up) showing how it frames 50 screenshots in an instant.

It's highly customizable, supports more options than the shortcut, and comes with a skill for Claude Code/Codex.

You can even use it while Claude Code is testing your iOS apps in the Simulator to automate screenshots for the App Store.

The season 3 finale of Version History is an absolute banger, and yes, it's about rotary telephones. It's also about patent drama and AT&T's monopoly and how one company can come to rule just about everything

How AT&T created the most iconic phone ever

AT&T was for many years one of America’s most powerful and important companies — and so for years, almost everyone in America had the same phone. This phone.
