"A lot of people are mad. They’re mad at the wrong things and the wrong people. Instead of being mad at #COVID, they’re mad at governments who struggled through the pandemic"

"Instead of being mad at Vladimir Putin for destabilizing Europe and the world food system worse than it already was, they’re mad at NATO and Volodymyr Zelenskyy for trying to stop a fascist takeover of a peaceful democratic state"

/1 #cdnpoli #canada

"Instead of acknowledging that labour shortages & inflation are global, and that 🇨🇦 actually suffered less from it than many (with housing prices being a particularly bad contributor here) we blame Canadian politicians who were mostly powerless in the face of it"

"Instead of being mad at the people making toxic drugs, they’re mad at the people trying to save lives. No one has the right answer. Safer supply & safe injection sites are designed to prolong life in the hope that we find one" /2

"As social media continues to contribute to the sane washing of lunacy, and the misdirected blame, people turn to worse and even less informed choices."

"The #BC election is a key sign here. A popular premier, navigating a difficult time, may have just lost/might as well have lost, to a lunatic conspiracy theorist, leading a lunatic conspiracy party, because people want “change.”

"Fuck your change. Across the west, we’re voting for insanity, and we’re going to get what we deserve. Electing worse governments with simple “answers” to complex problems will just lead us down a darker path. I won’t pretend there’s justification in choosing to walk it.

@gemelliz FPTP system is the Sufferage of our time. Image if you could pick two people on a ballot, that would solve many of our problems. If you could rank candidates, that would go a long way to make elections fair. Currently people are not having their voices heard.
