@tbluvoter Opus Dei is a malignant fascist organization, and I’ve long maintained that one of it’s primary goals is to destroy Jesuit power in the Church, and in particular the work of the liberation theologians. The ascendancy of Francis and his links to liberation theology are anathema to Opus. Let’s not forget that the previous conservative pope, Ratzinger, headed the Office for the Doctrine of the Faith, which is simply the rebranded Inquisitorial Office.
