Upgrade to #Mastodon via #Mastodon43 (ref blog link) may suit some users. I find it clunky and new condensed display of notifications of boosts annoys me. I can't tell at a glance what's been boosted and have to click on each to get post to expand.

I am I the only one feeling this?

I'm also not certain I want Mastodon to add Quote Posts. They seem to enable misue altho that could be true of any social media interactions.

@Kay I'm not ecstatic about the UI changes overall. It looks a bit too Windows for me. When replying, I can't see all of the toot I'm replying to anymore, which I don't like. I have no strong feelings about condensed notifications. I did not like the "follow recommendations" but some will.

As far as I can see, Quote Toots only formalise and streamline toots which contain links to other toots which you can already do manually.

@benchaotica Same on reaction to "When replying, I can't see all of the toot I'm replying to anymore, which I don't like."

Why the condensed notifications of boosts annoys me is that I am active in # JukeboxFridayNight and currently top two lines shown are the hashtag ... all of them looking the same for many different songs.

Obvious solution which I'll try to follow next week is to put hashtag at the end of a post.
