I guess the new trend is to call customization and modding in video games bad and terrible

Clearly the people who argue this have never played wrestling games, where the ability to make other people EXTENDS THE LIFESPAN OF THE GAME SIGNIFICANTLY

but I'll never be able to convince people that this is the case.

@freem It's not that it's bad. I know that a lot of people enjoy it. It just makes me tired being confronted with 300 sliders for earlobe discoloration and such when I haven't even started playing yet and really don't care that much.

A "simple" option where I can just pick from some reasonable presets and just change the hair or whatever would be welcome. I think some games do this. Then, I should be able to easily revisit it in-game to play with the details, if I want to.
