Adam BishopMy mum wants to join the #Fediverse - as she's fed up with adverts in other social media - and I have no idea what server would be best for her.
She's in her seventies, likes gardening, outdoors, cats and dogs, travel, books..
Any suggestions?
CFW (AK) 📡🏳️🌈@AdamBishop sunny.garden is a small and calm one. And I kinda disagree that it doesn't matter. There are badly run instances that have trouble with nasty trolls, others that are a lot into high drama,which sounds like a bad fit for her. Also, sometimes you just want to check out the local feed for possible new friends.
@chrys Thank you 🙏. I'll check out sunny garden. I tried to find a local one, but there doesn't seem to be any... Maybe we'll have to start one!
