the roads are starting to become impassable, Brandon has had to turn back from a downed power line and there are hefty branches on the roads.

Brandon is driving through Sarasota, which is believed to be first on the mainland to hit the eyewall.
The lights are still on and you can see how more recent buildings have been designed to deal with storm surges, the ground floor empty but for parking and sturdy columns.
OMG, is that a roundabout I see? In Florida even!
Quite hefty debris on the road, Brandon has had to drive over the central reservation to get past it

@Lazarou Hes going to get a ticket for going through a red light when theres no lights on the bar because they've all been blown away.
@Whiskeyomega lol, I'm thinking about those cops guarding that spilled load of water bottles and how there's a time for such and a time to just be human.
@Lazarou Did you see the truck over in the ditch earlier ? People kept reporting it because someone had abandoned it with its lights still on and it was directly on a traffic cam.
@Whiskeyomega I missed that. There sure are a lot of trucks around though. Can't be fun away from home and having to work through a hurricane.
@Lazarou Yesterday a lady was saying she paid $350 for 5 gallons of fuel to a tow truck company and they didnt even deliver it and then said to go elsewhere for another $150 for fuel and that didnt turned up. Dont know if the 2 places were in cahoots with each other but alot of disaster scamming going on. Corey ended up giving her 5 gallons for free.
