Brandon is driving through Sarasota, which is believed to be first on the mainland to hit the eyewall.
The lights are still on and you can see how more recent buildings have been designed to deal with storm surges, the ground floor empty but for parking and sturdy columns.

Brandon is using his big ol' truck to push some debris off the road. I can see how you could make a video game out of this.
Most of the neighbourhoods now seem out of power, power flashes in the distance. Not a soul on the road.
Brandon has navigated a wall of tree across the road as he enters Bradenton. Some lights are still on and another car was spotted but otherwise a ghost down. Serious debris on the roads, Brandon jokes about getting a flat in this weather
Brandon has met some of the Sea which has escaped onto land and had to turn back.
But the seafront is still safe enough for him to park his truck on and view the raging sea.

As the storm surge slowly makes it's way up the seafront towards Brandon, he takes a moment to thank recent Paypal donors.

Being a true Millennial the biggest spike of fear I feel watching Brandon drive through the eyewall, is when his phone rings.
Brandon is now seeking shelter among larger vehicles. This truck park seems remarkably full of life, tiny little cars out in this weather....
