cwicseolfor (has moved!)@cmlael67 @Daojoan They had significant support inside our country in the 20s-40s too - the German atrocity had been in part inspired by US conduct in decades & centuries prior.
People whose beliefs embraced those horrors didn’t die out, we just made it socially ruinous to express such in public. They’ve been around, telling generations of their kids their side didn’t lose, since the US Civil War. All that changed is it’s now *profitable* to express in public.
