My suspicion is that he's making a play to lead MAGA in a post-Trump world. He and his fanboys / fangirls will be pushing hard to make it possible for him to become president. On the other hand, rather than seeking elected power, he might try the Peter Thiel move of adopting a pet puppet. That would be easiest for him.

Anyhow, the only reason the media and others give this little wanker any oxygen is that he's one of the wealthiest people on Earth.
