this seems like such a US focused thing to do.

@jrn Yes -- it absolutely is a U.S. thing to do. Because our history of racism and slavery is so different from the rest of the world. It's built into our constitution in the form of the electoral college which gives the "rural states" -- meaning slave-holding states -- more power in the presidential selection than they should otherwise have based on population.

@jrn
The u.s. form of slavery was unconscionably brutal on the people it enslaved and on those who tried to help them. It still goes on today in many forms - most of which remain well-hidden. Others -- not so much as in Trump and his bully boy brown-shirt wannabe's.

And it's built into our uniquely coded language.

We have much for which to atone.

Watch for the hate mail I get now.

@LinuxGeek46 Or you won't get any mail at all because others also realize what meaningless slacktivism it really is. It's essentially white liberals going "there we go, we fixed racism" because they changed a word. It's utterly nonsensical.

Also, your take on the electoral college is so wildly ridiculous I'm not even going to bother with you anymore. Toodles!
