I think if you tell a lie so toxic that a network that had promised not to correct any of your lies nevertheless feels morally obligated to do so, the whole event should be paused while a giant red L is painted on your forehead and you should have to do the rest of the debate like that.
You know you fucked up when you forced a national news anchor to make a positive affirmation of truth as something that is more objectively correct, and therefore better, than lies—why, that's media bias! the very worst thing any news network can do in this age of modern journalism.
