Anyone find Sequoia is worse with Bluetooth reliability? Or is the M1 just doomed to not have great Bluetooth and I need to upgrade soon, haha
@christianselig Yes. But I have found that it depends on which apps you have running that might mess with the audio stack. Specifically I have found SoundSource (Love you guys, @RogueAmoeba! I know you are always working on fixes.) to basically make my AirPods unusable. If I am trying to watch something I miss a full couple of seconds after hitting play before the audio comes in. If I quit it, they work just like they should.
@bmpitzen @RogueAmoeba I don't think I have anything that does that
@christianselig No Bluetooth utility apps? iStats or anything monitoring your bluetooth devices?Or any kind of audio recording/processing software?
@bmpitzen I do have iStat, but I don't see anything in the menu bar about Bluetooth devices, and I've been running it for years on this Mac without issue
@christianselig I would check in the `batteries` widget or the bluetooth settings in iStats. If it is trying to monitor something about your devices it could be causing issues. Basically I think there is something broken with the audio buffer process and _anything_ that is trying to do something with bluetooth is breaking the buffer. I have no evidence other than just troubleshooting on my own but that's what it seems like.
