We're digging into the feedback in https://youtube.com/watch?v=tE89COeFw7I and finding ways to improve the support experience. We're glad that the 2nd LTT secret shopper had their numpad issue resolved, and we agree that it shouldn't have taken as long as it did.

Correction, the LTT team had their numpad swapped in reasonable time. The comment on taking too long was in relation to a customer who wrote in from late last year. We’ve substantially overhauled our support processes since then.
@frameworkcomputer I also have some constructive feedback on support processes, when you're ready for it.
@fuzzychef Of course, please feel free to share here.
@frameworkcomputer I was looking for a private address; this is really process critique, no need to do it in public.
@frameworkcomputer Very happy to read your answer here !

@frameworkcomputer it makes me happy to see y'all engaging with your customers and broader feedback, especially here on the fediverse

Whoever runs the account or is handling this feedback discussion, I hope you have a lovely day

@CrisColor @frameworkcomputer yeah, they seem to be well in touch with the community.

Just a shame Framework has a lack of ports (and is a bit too expensive) compared to what I currently have on my laptop, since I probably wouldn't mind using a Framework laptop with integrated graphics. iirc Framework supports 4 ports at once (although you have full flexibility), when I have 2x USB-A 3.x, 1x USB-A 2, 1x USB-C 3.x (no display), headphone jack, HDMI, 1G Ethernet, power

@experiencer @frameworkcomputer that's correct for the framework 13 & it includes a headphone jack on the chasis, and the 16 supports 6 io modules, but does not include the headphone jack, so you'd need to use one of your modules for it.

I'm hoping at some point someone makes a module with 2 USB C ports on it, just cause it'd be cool. Not sure if there's enough space on a module for 2 usable USB A ports though

I don't need many ports, but I can definitely see how that'd be a big tradeoff

@experiencer @CrisColor @frameworkcomputer see https://community.frame.work/t/dual-usb-c-expansion-card/2325 for discussion on it. the issue is there’s not enough space so it would lose PD, displayport, thunderbolt, etc and be bare usb c.
Dual USB-C Expansion Card

Hi, I took a look at the Expansion Card GitHub repo and made a little physical mockup of a 2-port USB-C adapter. I played around with dual USB-A and concluded it would be an incredibly tight squeeze, and even if I could jam them both in, I’d be very concerned about the spacing between the two ports. But, two USB-C ports seem to fit fine. I noticed a another comment here where someone said that the silicon doesn’t exist to support such a device, but I’m not sure exactly why that is, or what the ...

Framework Community

@leop @experiencer @frameworkcomputer ahhh, neat, thanks for sharing!

I wonder if USB c and a headphone jack would make more sense then for the 16". I'll take a look at the thread

@frameworkcomputer Any recommendations if your support responds to the multiple tickets about EC permanently throttling the CPU on a brand new motherboard with MB replacements instead of passing the issues to your developers for proper troubleshooting?
@frameworkcomputer I'm very impressed with the transparency and humble nature that Framework brings to criticism. Every company has room to improve, but Framework is one of the few company's I've found that seems it gives a damn.
