Unsecure - Lacking security

Insecure - How I'd feel meeting Ryan Reynolds in person 🫠

Know the difference. Save a life.

I'm semi teasing, the industry uses both.

Aww the server is too insecure, it's to afraid to go out into the big world(wide web). It wants to stay home eating ice cream and watching romance movies

@axh huh - not native English speaker here. I thought insecure was the correct term. "unsecure" sounds like what one of us non-native speakers could dream up ourselves :D

@troed nope! 😊

Technically both can share the meaning, and general adoption of "insecure" to indicate a lack of security has increased and become generally recognized, so it is valid to use it that way as well now, but both are valid.

Also I'm beyond jealous, I'm struggling to learn a second language, it's so difficult πŸ˜…

Edit: actually it looks like both have different meanings and the use of the word unsecure is actually a bit of a toss up.

Apparently I should study more English first πŸ˜…πŸ’€

@troed update 2, I was thoroughly wrong. It apparently is insecure, but also I hate that πŸ˜‚
